Me again with another theme question. I'm testing the theme before I begin inputing actual site data and discovered a strange quirk. Inserting text and an image into a post works fine in the wordpress dashboard but when published images will not show up on the featured article scroll, and also not in the post after the blog tab is clicked. The image WILL display on the individual post page. Instead of the image I get what appears to be a missing link- question mark icon surrounded by a box. I also viewed the posts through the two default WP themes and the images display correctly. Please note that under the Easy-touch options I have the 'first image' selected, and for test purposes I'm using the example images from the theme itself. I do prefer to use the 'first image' option when the site is up. Any suggestions? Thanks again.

Did you chmod your cache folder to 777 ?

Yes, I applied the 777 CHMOD to the cache and saw that the folders were set to 755 and files to 644. What's strange is that the image shows on the individual post page but not on the 'home' page with the scroll or on the 'blog' page that lists the most current posts. Any ideas?

I am having issue also and read this post http://wordpress.org/support/topic/218369. Not sure if it will help but had similiar problem in past and it helped. I just put ticket into hostgator and I will let you know if it fixes it.

UPDATE: This did not fix my issue

Sorry that I didn't update my situation. I did contact a Natty rep through the 'ticketing' process and the issue was shortly and quickly resolved. Unfortunately I can't relay a specific solution as all troubleshooting was done on the technicians side. However, the answer was in the permission applied to the cache folder. I'm certain that I followed the themes directions and applied the correct CHMOD (777) but for reasons beyond my understanding it mustn't have registered?. Anyways it was fixed and the theme is working as I hoped. Thanks Natty and Demitry for the help.

I'm having the exact same problem on this template (Easy Touch) and the Kongo template...  with this one no image displays and on the Kongo one a "?" displays.

... and Cache folder is CHMOD 777.

Hey D!,

It was hostgator, they had to whitelist the site (mod-security rule).
